Tickets remaining for GZA 25th Anniversary show at The Marble Factory

Posted on: 07 Feb 2022

The acclaimed Wu-Tang Clan MC will be in the South-West on 1 March.

A handful of tickets are still available for next month's arrival of hip-hop icon GZA, who'll be performing live at The Marble Factory on Tuesday 1 March to celebrate 25 years of his 1995 solo masterpiece, Liquid Swords.

A founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan, GZA is undoubtedly one of the most respected names on the international hip-hop scene, having played a part in an array of critically-acclaimed releases across a hugely successful career.

Tickets for the gig can be purchased from the event page now.

GZA (AKA The Genius) is a founding member, and the spiritual leader, of the Wu-Tang Clan. Known for his intellectual lyricism, intricate rhymes and precise flow, he is also the oldest member of the group and the first to gain a record deal.

Along with original members RZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, U-God and Masta Killah, GZA formed the group in New York City in 1992.

Wu-Tang quickly established themselves as one of the most vital and inventive hip-hop groups around and, with their 1993 debut record Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), created one of the greatest albums of all time.

With their use of grimy, distorted samples and explicit, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, Wu-Tang masterfully blended the smart wordsmanship of GZA and his fellow MCs with the musical expertise of producer RZA.

Liquid Swords, the artist’s sophomore solo album, was released in 1995 to widespread acclaim. The record is menacing and cinematic in equal measure and, along with his razor-sharp lyrics, succeeded in establishing GZA’s legacy as one of hip-hop’s greatest MCs.

Now, 27 years – the anniversary tour was supposed to take place in 2020 – later, the musician is ready to take Liquid Swords to the stage once more with a UK tour spanning February and March.

The tour will take GZA to Brighton, London, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield as well as Bristol. There are still tickets available for GZA’s show at The Marble Factory on 1 March and they can be found here.
