After moving to Bristol from his beloved Sicliy as a teenager, La Campagnuola founder Filipo Spitali began to dream about bringing the warmth and passion of his family's cooking and hospitality to the city.

In 1980, this dream became a reality. For 42 years, Filipo's restaurant - now run by his two children, Vincenzo and Mariangela - has been serving up the spirit of Sicily.

La Campagnuola offers a wide range of pizzas, perfectly cooked pasta dishes, and a daily special to keep you on your toes - all made with the freshest authentic Italian ingredients.

To accompany your meal, choose from a sophisticated selection of wine straight the vineyards of Sicily. If that's not up your street, you can choose from a selection of beers and soft drinks.

Offering commission rates of just 15% per order - down from as much as 35% from leading delivery apps - BARBI are looking to safeguard the future of Bristol's hospitality industry with the BARBI App, ensuring independents keep a much larger share of their income.

The BARBI team hope that their new app will loosen the grip that major corporations like Uber and Deliveroo currently have on the industry, with a view to expand to table booking, event ticket sales, discounts and local news features in the future.

As well as reducing fees for businesses, the app is also offering improved wages and rates for delivery riders and drivers.

Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and in an industry made up of more than 30,000 people and over 1,800 establishments in Bristol alone, support for independent businesses and the local economy is more important than ever.
