Posted on: 29 Dec 2021Friday night rugby returns to Ashton Gate Stadium as Bristol Bears take on Sale Sharks on 7 January 2022 with a 7.45pm kick off. Tickets for the match start from £27 for Adults, and just £10 for Under-12s. All Bristol Bears Members receive £5 off their match ticket.
Hoping to begin the New Year with a win after a somewhat disappointing 2021, The Bears welcome Paul Deacon's Sale Sharks to Ashton Gate for this Friday night fixture.
Lam's side will be all the more determined to beat the Greater Manchester side after being defeated in their previous two meetings with them. Sale's 13-20 win in Bristol saw the visitors move into second place in a dramatic encounter that saw the lead change hands repeatedly. However, it was Luke James' late try that saw Sale gain ground on the league leaders.
When Bears visited the AJ Bell Stadium on 28 May 2021 the South West side blew the lead they had garnered through Ben Earl when Semi Radradra was sent to the sin bin. Both Dan and Rob du Preez as well as Curtis Langdon scored tries for Sale to put them in the lead before Lloyd grabbed a consolation try for the visitors.
