Russell Howard's Bristol Hippodrome shows have been moved to Ashton Gate Stadium

Tickets purchased for Howard's initial Hippodrome dates remain valid for the relocated shows.

Eagerly-awaited Bristol performances from renowned standup and TV personality Russell Howard have been officially rescheduled for a second time, now moved from the Bristol Hippodrome to Ashton Gate Stadium.

Following the government's recent delay to their 'roadmap' strategy which pushed the reopening date for indoor venues nationwide back to 19 July, the shows will take place at the open-air BS3 stadium to minimise risk to visitors and events staff.

Tickets purchased for the initial seven-show run remain valid for the relocated shows, which will be going ahead on the same dates from 5-10 July, with ticket holders set to be contacted via email in the coming days with further information.

Releasing a statement across their social media channels, the Bristol Hippodrome team said:

"Due to the Government's latest announcement, we can confirm Russell Howard's upcoming performances will now take place at Ashton Gate Stadium instead of the Hippodrome.

"This is a huge show that deserves to be enjoyed by a Bristol audience, and we've been working with Russell Howard and his team to explore all the possible options.

"Naturally, moving a sold-out show to a completely different venue will take time and we appreciate your understanding and patience."

The statement went on to confirm that new e-tickets will be issued at least 48 hours prior to each respective performance, and will replace the now-invalid Hippodrome tickets.

Having kicked off in 2019, Russell Howard's current tour, respite, was scheduled to see him perform in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Canada, North America, Australia and New Zealand before being disrupted by the global coronavirus crisis.

The Bristol leg of the tour has now completely sold out. For more information on rescheduled shows, head to the Bristol Hippodrome website
