The iconic venue will be returning this summer with a full week of their best-loved residencies.

Thekla have released the first wave of tickets for their eagerly-awaited reopening parties, returning with a week of events after more than a year of closure due to the coronavirus crisis.

Set to kick off on Monday 21 June in line with the latest government guidelines for venues, Thekla's comeback series will feature some of the venue's most popular parties, including Pressure, 101% and Pop Confessional.

Tickets for the reopening week are on sale now, but won't be around for long - find out more and get yours here.

Now located on Bristol's Floating Harbour after a previous life as a trading vessel on the Baltic Sea, Thekla has emerged over the years as one of the city's best-loved and most iconic nightlife venues.

Hosting a mix of live events, club nights and high-profile DJ sets, the club is a firm favourite among local music fans, students and event promoters, boasting two indoor dancefloors and an open-air upper deck.

Like many venues across Bristol and beyond, Thekla has been rocked by the coronavirus crisis and more than a year of closure, but this summer is finally expected to get back to what it does best.

With the government having announced their 'roadmap' plans to bring the country out of lockdown, venues nationwide are expected to be able to open their doors for the first time on Monday 21 June.

Funk the Boat residents will be marking the occasion with a huge comeback party on the night, before a Tuesday 90s House Party takeover, a Wednesday night Silent Disco and the long-awaited return of Thekla Thursdays with Pressure.

Into the weekend, 101% will be taking the reigns for a night of house, garage, D&B, jungle and much more on Friday 16th June, before the one and only Pop Confessional crew round things off the following night.

Of course, given the unpredictable nature of the pandemic, there is a chance Thekla are unable to reopen in June, but under current guidelines the team will be able to host events on the selected dates with a range of safety measures in place.
