Show your support for a brilliant Bristol independent this weekend.

Renowned Indian restaurant Swagatam has been added to the brand-new BARBI App, offering up an extensive selection of authentic, home-cooked food for collection and home delivery.

Located on Easton's St Marks Road, Swagatam pride themselves on putting together quality dishes with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, treating locals to enjoyable, affordable Indian cuisine.

The restaurant can now be found on the BARBI App, a new delivery service launched to offer a more community-minded and Bristol-focused alternative to major multinationals like Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

Featuring everything from punchy vindaloo and jalfrezi to rich, indulgent korma and butter chicken, Swagatam's menu includes something for everyone, covering the full scope of India's culinary landscape.

The talented kitchen team take great care in producing their dishes, putting their own twists on traditional recipes to earn the restaurant a stellar reputation across Easton and beyond.

Swagatam is one of several independent restaurants now on the BARBI App, currently available for collection or home delivery to addresses within a three-mile radius.

Launched last Friday, the BARBI App has been built by Bristol hospitality for Bristol hospitality, set up to support local independents and offer drastically reduced fees on takeaway and delivery orders.

As well as offering commission rates of just 15% per order - down from as much as 35% charged by Deliveroo and Uber Eats - BARBI are looking to safeguard the future of Bristol's hospitality industry, ensuring they keep a much larger share of their income.

The BARBI App is also promising improved wages for its delivery team, ensuring drivers and riders are properly compensated for their time.

With more than 40 venues involved at launch, the BARBI app is now available to download via the iOS App Store and Google Play.
