Opened by a group of artists in 1992, Spike Island has been a vital hub of creativity in Bristol for almost thirty years. As well as a dedicated exhibition centre, it's home to studio spaces, a range of classes, and an equipment hire centre.
Spike Island is currently occupied by more than 70 local artists, designers, artist-led organisations and creative businesses, and invites esteemed artists from around the world to showcase their work year-round.
Visitors can enjoy a diverse and forward-thinking gallery schedule, and can attend a variety of events, gallery tours, artist talks, creative workshops and more.
Visitor Assistants are tasked with adding that extra spark to the Spike Island experience, offering recommendations, know-how and insider information to visitors.
The role requires someone with great communication and people skills, and a passion for contemporary art and Bristol's creative community.
If you're an art lover and you're looking to get some first-hand experience in a gallery position, head to the Spike Island website to find out more and apply for a Visitor Assistant position before tomorrow's deadline.
