Keane to perform at Westonbirt Arboretum in 2021

The band behind the hit ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ return following a six-year hiatus. 

 

Keane will perform a picturesque woodland gig near Bristol next summer.

 

The band is set to play at Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury as part of Forest Live, the outdoor summer concert series presented by Forestry England.

 

After a six-year hiatus, the alternative rock band made a return in 2019 new album Cause and Effect and a sold-out UK tour.

 

The band formed in 1995, and over the years, have accumulated more than 13 million sales worldwide.

 

Keane’s seminal debut album Hopes and Fears generated hits ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, ‘Everybody’s Changing’ and ‘This Is The Last Time.’  

 

The recording became one of the biggest selling albums in UK chart history.

Keane last performed at Forest Live in 2010.

 

This time around, Keane will perform at Westonbirt Arboretum on Friday 11 June 2021, with special guests Flyte and support from Michael Ryan.

What is Forest Live?

 

Forest Live is an outdoor live music series held at forests across the country including Delamere Forest in Cheshire and Thetford Forest in Suffolk.

 

In previous years, the series has welcomed acts including Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs and Little Mix. Keane is the first act to be announced for the 2021 series. 

 

More than 1.9 million people have attended a Forest Live gig in the last 20 years, and the series supports the work of Forestry England.

 

Every year, Forestry England plant some 8 million trees sustainably, care for the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests and welcome 230 million visits. Westonbirt Arboretum
