Lakota Gardens unveil headliners for Sit Down Sessions series

Posted on: 03 Sep 2020

Expect sets from Skream, Horse Meat Disco, Sherelle and more across three months of events.

Missing Bristol parties? We certainly are, and while a return to normality is still a way away, Lakota have revealed a fresh schedule of weekend DJ sets that should satisfy your cravings for the time being.

Following on from the successful launch of Lakota Gardens in July, the team behind the iconic Stokes Croft venue have been delivering a range of live music, DJ sets, comedy and more since lockdown measures were relaxed.

Sold-out, sit-down events hosted by the likes of Eats Everything, Crazy P and more have ushered in a new era of socially-distanced partying, and Lakota are set to continue in the same vein with a string of events running until late November.

From headline sets courtesy of Dusky and Mella Dee to Tribe of Frog's eagerly-awaited 20th birthday party and a Wide Eyes special hosted by My Nu Leng, head to the Lakota website to browse the full programme and book your tickets.

Kicking off with the visit of influential genre-spanning DJ Skream on Friday 18 September, Lakota Gardens' Sit Down Sessions will see an array of esteemed artists take the stage for a series of low-key, COVID-safe events.

Running every weekend until a closing party with Serum on Saturday 28 November, Sit Down Sessions will be bringing you the very best in house, techno, drum and bass, disco and much more.

As well as a selection of big names and rising stars including Jasper James, Dusky and Sherelle, the series also features parties hosted by renowned local DJs and promoters, including Bitch, Please! and Alfresco Disco.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Lakota series without some sort of input from Eats Everything, and the internationally-renowned, Bristol-born DJ will be taking over for the third time this summer on Saturday 7 November.

With a range of safety measures in place to minimise risk to visitors, performers and staff, Lakota Gardens ask that attendees respect new guidelines and remain considerate of those around them.

As well as temperature checks and hand sanitiser stations on arrival, the team have spaced tables apart in line with social distancing guidelines and ask that attendees remain seated unless using the toilet.

Tables and surfaces at Lakota Gardens are cleaned and disinfected regularly, and drinks and food are delivered direct to tables through the venue's new contactless ordering system.
