Drive-in Nightglow to be staged at Longleat

Enjoy a vibrant display of hot air balloons against the backdrop of the stunning Longleat Estate.

Did you see Bristol International Balloon Fiesta’s virtual nightglow at the weekend?

A clever response to COVID-19 restrictions, a nightglow performance was recorded in private, later broadcast online for Fiesta fans enjoy at home.

Now, Longleat Safari Park in Warminster, Bath, has come up with its very own, socially-distanced nightglow solution: a drive-in nightglow.

Here's what you need to know.

On Friday 11 September and Saturday 12 September, a drive-in nightglow will be staged at the estate, against the backdrop of the Longleat House.

Attendees will get the chance to see the Longleat Estate at sunset and experience a panoramic, vibrant display of hot air balloons.

Up to 30 hot air balloons will be tethered across the banks of Half-Mile Lake, ready to light their burners in time to music.

The best bit? You can enjoy the experience from the safety of your own car.

During each drive-in nightglow, there will be toilet facilities and food huts. The event is entirely weather dependent, and tickets will be limited.

According to the Longleat website, tickets will go on sale soon. So, keep a close eye on the Longleat website and social media channels for updates.
