Off the back of their 2019 debut album, Bristol trio Elder Island have announced new tour dates for 2021. They'll play SWX on Thursday 11 March 2021.

To mark the news, the indie/electronic outfit have released a brand-new documentary, available to watch on YouTube.

The 8-minute film captures the band's 2019 tour, highlighting key, sold-out shows at London's Roundhouse and The Marble Factory in BS2.

An intimate insight into the inner workings of Elder Island, the film captures travel, intricate show preparations and live performance, plus the deep friendships that underpin the project.

With a focus on Elder Island’s ‘hands-on’ approach to touring, film director Nic Kane said he wanted to give "an insight into how the band evolve their recorded work into the live realm".

Elder Island Vocalist Katy added the band made the video with Nic as a "huge thank you" to fans who have "brought energy and love" to their shows.

"It feels more poignant now than ever to appreciate how special this connection is," Katy said, in light of the current absence of touring music.

Fusing electronica, indie, pop and neo-soul, Elder Island's sound has been championed by BBC 6 Music, as well as Wonderland Magazine, Clash and Line of Best Fit.

Their debut EP came out in 2014, and five years later came Elder Island's debut album, The Omnitone Collection.

In celebration of the album, the Bristol-based band toured North America and Europe, where Nic gathered footage for the new documentary.

In 2021, the band will head back out on the road with a new UK tour. It'll see the trio play Manchester O2 Ritz, two dates at London's Oval Space and Bristol's SWX, on 11 March.
