Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm reopens to the public

Posted on: 23 Jun 2020

Those wanting to visit the Zoo Farm in BS48 will need to pre-purchase tickets online.

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in Wraxall, North Somerset has reopened to the public today (Tuesday 23 June), following several weeks of lockdown.

The Zoo Farm, which houses both zoo and farm animals in its 100 acre parkland, has reopened with a reduced visitor capacity, plus reduced facilities and attractions, to ensure the safety of its staff and visitors.

At the moment, indoor enclosures at the Zoo Farm remain closed, including soft play and outdoor play facilities.

However, the Zoo Farm has said its animals will be on show, as well as its bird of prey flying display which will take place twice a day.

The zoo’s Elephant and Big Cat Talks are also taking place in an outdoor space, but other talks are temporarily cancelled to help with social distancing.

Takeaway food will be available to buy onsite from kiosks and vendors will accept contactless payment only.

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is also operating with social distancing measures, and has increased its handwashing facilities on site. The park has also installed antibacterial gel stations across the site.

The Zoo Farm is now open seven days a week (until November), but visitors will need to pre-purchase tickets online ahead of their visit to limit the number of people onsite.

Tickets are available to pre-purchase here and are available in timed entry slots. For further information, visit the Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm website and FAQs page.

Earlier this month, the government announced that zoos could reopen from Monday 15 June.

Another local family attraction, The Wild Place Project, has also reopened. Wild Place, which is home to a Bear park, has reopened with a timed ticketing and one-way system. For now, Bristol Zoo remains closed.

Like Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, all tickets for Wild Place Project must be purcahsed in advance. Find out more here
