Boston Tea Party Park Street to reopen this week

Boston Tea Party Park Street to reopen this week

Posted on: 16 Jun 2020

The no single-use coffee cup café chain will reopen its Park Street store on Thursday 18 June.

Following a successful reopening of their Gloucester Road joint, Boston Tea Party's Park Street café is set to reopen on Thursday 18 June for takeaway, Click & Collect orders.

From Thursday, Boston Tea Party Park Street will be operating with slightly reduced opening hours, from 09:00 until 18:00 daily.

Two more of Boston Tea Party's Bristol stores - Cheswick Village and Stokes Croft - will reopen on Thursday too.

Boston Tea PartyIn total, BTP has 23 cafes across the West Country and the Midlands.

Like many in Bristol, the Boston Tea Party chain took a temporary hiatus several weeks ago in response to increased lockdown measures.

But at the end of May, two of Boston Tea Party's cafés, one being their Gloucester Road store, reopened.

On Thursday, the chain's Park Street store will join the next wave of Boston Tea Party cafés to reopen, alongside two other Bristol locations - Cheswick Village and Stokes Croft.

Like the chain's Gloucester Road store, customers of Boston Tea Party Park Street, Cheswick Village and Stokes Croft will be able to order Click & Collect food and coffee with the chain's new Contactless Coffee service.

As a way of upholding their single-use coffee cup ban, which the chain introduced in 2017, Boston's Contactless Coffee initiative enables customers to purchase coffee with reusable cups.

So how does it work? BTP is accepting food and drink orders for takeaway via its Click & Collect service.

Once you've placed your order, and selected your desired pick up time, you can take your (clean!) reusable cup to BTP on Park Street and place it in the allotted spot. Remember to keep hold of your lid.

Then, a BTP barista will pour your hot drink without touching the cup and step away.

As well as contactless coffee, BTP is serving loads of its menu favourites, including breakfast and brunch dishes, burgers and cakes.

In a blog post, the BTP team have also explained how they plan to keep customers and staff safe. Read about BTP's social distancing measures here
