The charity's free food delivery service has received huge support from the Bristol public so far.

After launching their biggest-ever Emergency Appeal campaign at the beginning of April, Caring in Bristol have spent the last few weeks working on Cheers Drive, a pioneering free food delivery service for homeless people thought to be the first of its kind in the UK.

Cheers Drive from Caring in Bristol.

With renowned local chefs from popular establishments including Emmeline, Pasta Loco and Salt and Malt on board, Cheers Drive is providing restaurant-quality food to vulnerable people across Bristol, completely free of charge.

Dishes are delivered safely and directly to the city's homeless population, many of whom have been moved from shelters and off the streets into temporary accommodation.

As of Wednesday 20 May, more than 50,000 meals have now been prepared and delivered by the Cheers Drive team, with the project now estimated to be feeding as many as 400 homeless and vulnerable people per day in Bristol.

The project is supported by a growing base of volunteers, including chefs, delivery drivers, admin staff and more.

Want to get involved? You can contribute to the project when you buy a takeaway meal (consisting of one freshly-cooked meal, a packed lunch and a breakfast) for just £10. Find out more and make your donation here.
