8 Bristol City Centre Favourites Delivering During Lockdown
Posted on: 21 Apr 2020Find all the info on a wide range of central Bristol restaurants offering delivery services to lift your spirits during the lockdown.
There aren't many aspects of daily life that haven't been disrupted by the Coronavirus outbreak. Socialising has pretty much gone out the window, the doors of our favourite pubs remain firmly shut and no-one's been out for dinner in weeks.
You won't need reminding after weeks of relentless coverage that we're living in truly unprecedented times (sorry).
Happily, though, some of Bristol's top restauranteurs are doing their best to keep smiles on faces by launching delivery services and running your favourite dishes direct to your door.
See below for a quick guide to some of our favourite city centre spots offering deliveries and takeaways over the next few weeks.

Named among The Sunday Times’ top 25 best bakeries in the UK, Pinkmans has become a firm Bristol favourite since its 2015 opening. But, following the announcement of increased lockdown measures, Pinkmans closed its doors in late March.
They've been busy in the meantime, though, putting together an online shop which opened for business today (Tuesday 21 April). As well as popular baked goods including sourdough bread and Chelsea buns, expect to find household items like coffee, eggs and flour.
Delivery is free within two miles of the bakery, with the full delivery service restricted to the wider Bristol area. Find out if you're eligible for delivery here, and find the full online selection here.

Popular Baldwin Street spot Obento is now offering a full takeaway service, allowing you to enjoy their delicious, freshly prepared and authentic dishes from the comfort of your own home.
With popular dishes on offer including a wide range of sushi, chicken katsu curry, fresh gyoza and much more, Obento should be your first port of call next time you're in the mood for some top-notch Japanese cuisine.
Find them through their in-house takeaway service or on Deliveroo.

Approaching what would usually be their busiest time of year as thousands of Bristolians look to beat the summer heat with a delicious dessert, Sprinkles Gelato are now delivering their mouth-watering desserts to hungry customers across the city.
Boasting a menu of more than 20 flavours of gelato and sorbet, as well as sundaes, waffles, crepes and more, the team at Sprinkles can offer a much-needed pick me up during these trying times. Find them on Deliveroo and Uber Eats and treat yourself this week.

A firm favourite among Bristol students, Triangle Grill has established itself as one of central Bristol's best-loved late-night food spots.
You'll find huge kebabs, meaty burgers and freshly-prepared wraps on a menu packed with takeaway staples, making this one an absolute must for the next time you're in the mood for a deliciously dirty dinner.

Another staple at the end of many a night out, Taka Taka has emerged in recent years as one of Bristol's most popular takeaways. As well as their flagship location on Queens Road, the Greek grill is now set up on Broad Quay and Bridewell Street.
From perfectly-fried halloumi to succulent pork and chicken, Taka Taka's dedicated teams only work with the very best ingredients, producing proper feel-good food at great prices.
If, by some miracle, you're not already familiar, get onto Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat and order yourself one of their popular Magic Rolls, Souvlaki or Gyros.

We've all been there - sometimes when you really, really need to go to the shop for that one small but essential item, you wish more than anything else that someone else would go and get it for you.
In the past, you'd have to eventually accept reality, put your shoes on and trudge to the shop, but times have changed.
Whether you need a bottle of milk and some fruit, or just really fancy a pack of chocolate digestives, you can (finally) have your shopping sent straight from the Co-op to your door through Deliveroo.

There's something special about a sit-down Indian. The inviting aromas and warm atmospheres at some of Bristol's favourite curry houses keep locals coming back year-round, and you'll find one of the city's best on Colston Avenue.
But, with its doors closed for the foreseeable future, the only way you can experience the top-notch dishes on offer at 4500 Miles to Delhi is through their delivery service, operating from 17:00-22:00 every night of the week.
You might not be able to recreate the atmosphere of a lively Indian restaurant in the confines of your front room, but the renowned selection of dishes prepared by the 4500 Miles team remains as good as ever.
Find them on Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Dessert connoisseurs Swoon know a thing or two about gelato, crafting a wide range of flavours using fresh ingredients sourced both locally and from around the world.
They're now delivering their best and most popular flavours to Bristol postcodes via Deliveroo, available in a range of sizes, from 100g personal portions to 1L tubs and a four-flavour family bundle priced at £20.
