Lakota to celebrate life in Bristol with video montage project

Posted on: 14 Apr 2020

The historic Bristol venue needs your help to celebrate everything great about Bristol during these uncertain times.

It's not easy to stay positive about Bristol during a strict lockdown that doesn't allow us to make the most of life in the city, but the Lakota team have devised a plan to celebrate Bristol in all its glory.

Lakota needs YOU.

Through the power of social media and the extensive reach of artists, venues, promoters and, of course, Bristol residents, Lakota hopes to put together a video montage of as many locals as possible, outlining what they love about the city.

They're asking as many people as possible to send in a video or audio clip explaining why they love Bristol in one to three words.

It can be a nod to your favourite pub, your favourite club, your number-one viewing spot or go-to local artist. Anything goes!

Whether you were born and raised here or have made Bristol your home, Lakota wants to hear from you.

"During such unprecedented times, we’re truly missing smiling faces in the streets and through the doors of the club," says Lakota's Head of Marketing, Eoin Fenton.

"As we long for our parties to be back in full swing, we want to inspire positivity and a feeling of togetherness, especially considering that so many of us are unable to spend time with our nearest and dearest."

Once the Lakota team have collated all the clips, they aim to release a montage that truly represents the community spirit of our great city.

"Bristol may be on lockdown," Eoin says, "but our love for it doesn't have to be!"

To get involved in Lakota's video montage project, film a short clip explaining what you love about Bristol, and send it to them via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or email.
