He’s been hailed as one the world’s best blues guitarists, and now he’s coming to Bristol: catch Eric Gales at The Fleece in February 2021.

As part of a U.K.-wide tour, the acclaimed guitar maverick will be stopping off in the city for a special performance at The Fleece.

The news follows the release of Gales’ new studio album, The Bookends, which features new hit ‘With A Little Help From My Friends.’

For those not already acquainted with the Memphis-born musician, Eric Gales has been making music since the 1990s, and in that time, has explored a multitude of Blues sound.

But what has remained a constant is Gales’ solid vocal ability, his Hendrix-like style and his commitment to the blues.

Described by guitar.com as ‘one of the most devastating blues guitarists on the planet,’ Gales music also takes inspiration from pop, funk, rock and gospel.

As Gales remarked himself in a recent interview, “I have been labelled as a blues-guitar player, or a blues-rock guitar player… I am a whole lot more than that.”

Gales’ new album features collaborations with the likes of B. Slade, Doyle Bramhall II and Beth Hart; and during the new U.K. tour, Gales will be joined by special guest, British blues artist Danny Bryant.

Hailed as “a national blues treasure,” Bryant recently released his 11th studio album Means of Escape via Jazzhaus Records. So, this Bristol show features no less than blues mastery.

Don't miss this blues extravaganza at The Fleece on Sunday 7 February 2021: tickets are on sale now, via The Fleece website.
