Catapulted into international notoriety with celebrated compilation, Red Hot + Rio, in the late 90s, it wasn't until 2000 that she found true worldwide success with her breakout album, Tanto Tempo

Featuring her trademark electronic bossa nova, Tanto Tempo took over clubs around the world and saw Gilberto become one of the all-time best-selling Brazilian artists in the US.

More critically-acclaimed releases followed, including a self-titled album in 2004 and Momento (2007), on which she was able to refine her sound and create an acoustic lounge style that showcased her immense strength as a composer.

With an eighth studio album due for release in May, Bebel Gilberto is on the way to the UK as part of an extensive 2020 world tour, set to perform at La Linea Festival in London, the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, and in Bristol for a first-ever performance in the city.

Bebel Gilberto arrives in Bristol to perform at Fiddlers on Saturday 2nd May 2020, the day after the worldwide release of her new album. Put together alongside acclaimed producer Thomas Bartlett, the new project is tipped to be her most ambitious to date.
