Do you think Motion is the U.K.'s Best Large Club? Vote for the Avon Street club in this year's DJ Mag's Best of British Awards.

The nominations have been announced for DJ Mag's Best of British Awards 2019, and Motion is nominated for Best Large Club.

It's not the first time that Motion has been up for this award: the 4,500-capacity club secured the title in 2018, and was also nominated for the accolade in 2017, 2016 and 2015.

And Motion isn't the only Bristol name to be nominated in this year's awards: Bristol duo Giant Swan are up Best Live Act and Shanti Celeste's label, Peach Discs, is nominated for Breakthrough Label.

Best of British aims to celebrate the very best of the U.K.'s electronic music talent. 2019 marks the 13th edition of the awards, and sees some of the scene's best labels, acts and venues represented.

This year, Motion is up against London clubs fabric and Printworks; Glasgow's SWG3 and Depot at Mayfield in Manchester. To see the full list of nominees, visit the DJ Mag website.

The news of Motion's nomination follows what has been a difficult year for Avon Street club. In August, Motion launched a petition asking the council to back a Deed of Easement, to protect the club from planned developments in the area. Almost 10,000 people have signed the petition since.

The Best of British Awards operate on a polling system: the nominee with the most votes in a category wins.

Voting for the DJ Mag Best of British awards is open now and closes on Wednesday 27 November. Cast your vote here. (We know who we'll be voting for…)

The winners will be announced at the Best of British awards party on Wednesday 11 December at The Steelyard, London.
