Posted on: 16 Oct 2019

Indie-rock four-piece JAWS have announced plans for a month-long UK and Ireland tour in November, kicking things off at The Fleece on Friday 15 November.

JAWS' November 2019 UK & Ireland tour.

Hailing from Birmingham and formed in 2012, JAWS have enjoyed a rapid ascendency to the forefront of the UK indie scene in recent years. Having released two full-length albums so far, 2014's 'Be Slowly' and 'Simplicity' in 2016, the band finished work on their third record this year.

Released back in April, 'The Ceiling' represents another leap forward for the band, adding new textures to their sound and further honing a sound that has been celebrated by an ever-growing fan base since their inception.

Having played high-profile shows at festivals like YNot and Truck in the summer, JAWS' latest headline tour is set to take them to Southampton, Oxford, Nottingham, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin and Leeds before closing at Coventry's Empire on 30th November.

Speaking on the reaction to their most recent shows, singer Connor Schofield said "The recent live dates were the biggest shows we'd ever done. Every night was like a celebration of the new record and what we'd achieved up until that point, and now we want to take that same atmosphere to more places around the country. We really can't wait for these shows."

You can catch JAWS kick off their November tour with a live show at The Fleece on Friday 15th November - tickets are on sale and can be found here. For more info or to see what else is coming up at The Fleece in 2019, visit their website.
