We’ve got a huge Bristol showcase on the way in September 2019 at some of the city’s favourite venues, with Livity Sound, Saffron Records, 1020 Radio and more ready to host some unmissable parties. Check out a full rundown below.

Feel Flows w/Manami & Charlatan Jazz @ The Gallimaufry // Friday 6th September

The Gallimaufry quickly became one of Bristol’s most exciting live music bars after dedicated muso James Koch took it over in 2016, and their programme has been taken to the next level in recent weeks with the introduction of Bristol DJs Manami & Neathway’s Feel Flows nights. Expect jazz, electronica and more in this one from the two hosts and special guest, acclaimed Bristol producer Gabriel Gifford.

 

Lock Yard Closing Party w/Jasper James @ Motion // Friday 6th September

Motion’s Lock Yard summer series has been a hit this year, with weekly Friday evening parties hosted by the likes of Bitch, Please!, 1020 Radio, Deep Discs and Emergency Room among others. World-renowned Glaswegian selector Jasper James has been invited down to Bristol to close the series – expect him to come armed with a trademark collection of tried and tested party starters as the sun sets on Friday 6th.

1020 Radio 4th Birthday Party w/Alexander Nut @ Stokes Croft Beer Garden // Saturday 7th September

One of Bristol’s favourite and longest-running independent radio stations is celebrating its fourth birthday this month, marking the occasion with none other than Eglo Records boss and Rinse FM regular Alexander Nut and a selection of 1020's favourite residents. 

 

Saffron Records 4th Birthday Party @ Stokes Croft Beer Garden // Thursday 12th September

Stokes Croft Beer Garden will play host to a second fourth birthday party in the space of a week on Thursday 12th, with boundary-pushing Bristol label Saffron Records inviting some of their favourite artists to an intimate evening celebration. Expect killer sets from Simple resident Em Williams and Mix Nights graduates Mercy’s Cartel and Grove as well as an unbeatable atmosphere in support of Saffron’s tireless work to address the drastic gender imbalance in electronic music.

Livity Sound w/Ben UFO @ Trinity Centre // Saturday 14th September

Ben UFO is undoubtedly one of the world’s most respected DJs right now, and Bristol label Livity Sound have locked him in to headline their latest party with a mammoth three hour set at Trinity Centre on Saturday 14th September. Bristol veterans and Livity Sound signees Danielle, Peverelist and Hodge complete the lineup to make this one an absolute must.

 

St Paul's Adventure Playground Fundraiser @ St Paul's Adventure Playground // Saturday 14th September

Anybody who went to - or even heard about - Alfresco Disco's summer 2018 rave at the St Paul's Adventure Playground knows that, in the right hands, it's an unreal location for a party. With the future of the playground, an essential community spot and a vital part of the St Paul’s area, in jeopardy, Team Love and the Playground's owners have put their heads together to organise a huge fundraiser, with an all-star Bristol lineup including Roni Size, Krust, Kahn & Neek, DJ Die and more locked in.

Nebula x AKA: Desert Disco w/Ivan Smagghe & Ruf Dug @ Lakota // Wednesday 25th September

Midweek club nights don’t get much bigger than this. No stranger to Bristol and a DJ up there with the very best of them when he’s in the groove, Futureboogie regular Ruf Dug will be joined at Nebula & AKA’s Desert Disco by in-form and fast-rising selector Ivan Smagghe, ready to give the walls at Lakota a good shake off the back of some jaw-dropping b2b sets alongside German DJ Vladimir Ivkovic at festivals around the world in summer 2019.

 

Night Time Collective presents Bellaire @ The Lanes // Thursday 26th September

Parisian powerhouse Bellaire will be making the journey to Bristol for the very first time this month, headlining The Lanes' latest club night with what is certain to be one of the most energetic sets Bristol will see all year. Having gained notoriety with his no-nonsense, feel-good EP 'Paris City Jazz', the mysterious DJ and producer continues to make waves with a sound bursting with French style and reflecting the tough streets of the capital.

On Loop x Idle Hands w/Shanti Celeste, Moxie & Chris Farrell @ Cosies // Friday 27th September

World-renowned DJ and long-time Idle Hands affiliate Shanti Celeste is one of Bristol's very best exports of the last few years, and she'll be joined in this one by established DJ and On Loop boss Moxie and, of course, Idle Hands owner Chris Farrell. Set to go down inside one of the city's most intimate club venues in Cosies, this is sure to be a huge September highlight as well as a welcome celebration of Bristol dance music.

 

Distilled presents Paul Woolford @ Old Crown Courts // Friday 27th September

Distilled are bringing their minimalist approach to partying to Bristol's Old Crown Courts for the first time at the end of September, and there are few better DJs out there that fit the bill better than the fiercely in-form Paul Woolford. Firmly stuck on the international dance community's radar thanks to huge releases like 'You Already Know' and some unforgettable sets under his Special Request alias, Woolford's combination of unmistakable piano riffs, an underlying Chicago House groove and endless commitment to pushing boundaries has to be seen to be believed.

in:Motion 2019 Opening Party: Drumcode Day & Night @ Motion // Saturday 28th September

in:Motion is back this year for its milestone tenth series, and, true to form, they’ve put together one of the biggest runs of events the club has ever seen. Genre-defining techno label Drumcode have been enlisted to curate the first night of in:Motion 2019, and you can expect mind-bending sets from the likes of Pan-Pot, Dense & Pika, Nicole Moudaber and B.Traits among others during their 15-hour party to get the series started in style.

 

Worm Disco Club 5th Birthday @ Fiddlers Club // Saturday 28th September

Worm Disco Club are marking five years to the day since their first-ever party this month, and in celebration of the milestone they'll be hosting a good old knees-up at the much-loved Fiddlers Club on Saturday 28th. Having hosted DJs from all corners of the globe in the past as well as cutting edge contemporary acts from the UK like The Heliocentrics, The Comet is Coming and Joe Armon-Jones, they've invited long-standing Brighton record store Mr Bongo, Central African party starters Kongo Dia Ntotila and London-based DJ Poly Ritmo to provide the soundtrack alongside WDC residents.
