With a cast comprised of 17 nations and an international catalogue of previous performances, The Lion King’s return to Bristol is shaping up to be big.

 

From 7 September to 23 November, The Lion King at Bristol Hippodrome will bring the much-loved animated tale about unity, adversity and family to life with intricate puppetry, costumes and primed vocals.

 

The production, which has been viewed by over 100 million people worldwide, is the work of the acclaimed director Julie Taymor and Tom Schumacher, president of Disney theatrical group. Just a few weeks ago, Schumacher visited Bristol to welcome the cast.
