The much-loved Woodspring Wings Model Air Show is returning to Yatton next month, bringing with it another showstopping display of some of the world's most advanced model aircraft carrying out mind-bending stunts and tricks. Taking place at Claverham Drove, just north of Bristol, on 13th & 14th July, this year's show is expected to be one of the biggest and best yet!

The heavily anticipated airshow is a key date in many a flying enthusiast’s calendar. Woodspring Wings is one of the only model clubs in the country with their own land, and are well known for hosting the largest model aircraft show in the South West. The club was formed by 50 members in 1989. Now in its 27th year, it has gone from strength to strength, and now attracts around 5,000 visitors per show.

With the beautiful backdrop of the Somerset countryside, this year's show will once again be featuring some of the country's most skilled model aircraft pilots flying the most advanced models available. In recent years the organisers have also added a 'Battle of Woodspring' simulated battle, in which pilots take their models to the skies to showcase the spectacle of aerial dogfighting.

Alfresco Catering are excited to be hosting the foodie element of the day and have released their plans for both show days' proceedings. Saturday and Sunday will both be host to a breakfast bar from 7.30 till 11, followed by a full mobile bar, ice cream cart, premium B coffee, a pizza hut, BBQ smokehouse and hog roast from 11am to 5pm. Their Saturday Take Away Service from 5 till 9pm will give guests the choice between alfresco curries, pizza parlour takeaways and classic fish and chips.
