Posted on: 12 Jun 2019Cheddar Gorge. A legendary local landmark. With those huge, imposing rock faces, it's mightily impressive, an incredible feat of nature, and sometimes a little bit scary. So to hold a festival there might not, at first at least, be the most obvious of locations for partying, revelling and good times. Well, dear readers, you'd be wrong. Because for the second year year Top of the Gorge Festival returns for the weekend of Friday 14th until Sunday 16th June 2019.
Held on a spectacular site overlooking Cheddar Gorge, the festival is open to those who enjoyed last year's shenanigans, happy campers and folk just out and about for the day. An exhilarating three day (and night) jamboree of outdoor adventures, fun, laughs, entertaining and top-notch food and beverages.
A pop-up campsite, Top of the Gorge Festival has an impressive line-up of activities too which take place, and run through, the gorge itself leading towards the stunning Somerset coast. So those with a penchant for outdoor escapades to get adrenaline rushing and the heart racing can take part in a spot of mountain biking, caving, climbing, trail running, food foraging, archery, campfire cooking and, presumably at the end of such strenuous endeavours unwinding with a nice, cold beer, some star gazing.
