LinkedIn’s hit pop-up networking event is coming to BristolPosted on: 07 Jun 2019
We can all agree on one thing: the job search can be a slog. Rejections, complex applications – do I send a follow-up email after the interview? With so much to think about, there’s little time for even a post-work beer. It’s time for a rethink.
Enter The Linked Inn Pub; an informal, pop-up networking event ready to get you your next gig! Created by the world’s largest professional network LinkedIn, The Linked Inn is a concept on a mission to refresh the traditional schema of job hunting.
Between Monday 10 June and Tuesday 11 June only, The Linked Inn is coming to Bristol’s SPiN Bar. Connecting you to industry hiring managers, experts and more, this networking event has proved a hit nationwide. To attend free of charge, all you need to do is register here and show your LinkedIn profile to enter.
So, what’s happening? The pop-up will host a series of live job vacancies from companies such as John Lewis Partnership, H&M and Hargreaves Lansdown. Head down to meet with hiring managers, learn more about the role on offer and even land an on-the-spot informal interview.
Besides ready-to-go vacancies, The Linked Inn pop-up has got career advice on tap. Meet with LinkedIn’s experts to get invaluable tips and tricks that will enhance your job search. Want to negotiate a better salary? Or make better use of your professional network? Ask away.
The team has also got a professional portrait photographer on hand to help you spruce up your LinkedIn profile picture: they've really got you covered!
Darain Faraz, a careers expert at LinkedIn, said: “On LinkedIn the job search needn’t be arduous, in fact, you can approach it as you would other social activities. By engaging your network and sharing, posting and connecting with your community, you can get closer to the job you want.
"That’s why we’ve set up The Linked Inn - to bring this to life, and demonstrate the job seeking process needn’t be as time intensive as you might think.”
Sound good? Of course, it does. Nab a free ticket here. Find The Linked Inn at The Spin Bar located at Units 3-5, The Boathouse, Gasworks Ln, Brunel Quay, Bristol BS1 5AT.
