Party in the Ponds to return to Fishponds on Saturday 22nd June 2019
Posted on: 03 Jun 2019Returning to the fabulous borough of Fishponds for another year, the always-popular, always-packed-out Party In The Ponds in Fishponds Park is back for another day of awesome activities, music, food, drink and fun on Saturday 22nd June 2019.
One of the highlights on the calendar for those who dwell in this part of the city (and those who live beyond, for that matter), the day is always packed to the gunnels with a scintillating smorgasbord of things to see and do. If you're looking for a great day out for the whole family, then look no further.
So, what's on the line-up to out-do last year's top-level local festival of good times? Well, it's the usual combo of entertainment and delicious food, craft stalls and entertainment, naturally - only this year they've upped the ante to make it bigger and better, with so much stuff going on the day's positively bursting at the seams.
Foodie fare will come in the form of irresistible Jamaican grub, samosas, candy floss and popcorn, cakes, crumpets, and desserts, all of which can be washed down with a tea, coffee or milkshake or, if you prefer a slightly stronger beverage, a glass of beer, wine or the currently ubiquitously popular Prosecco.
Other stalls will feature wood carving, a variety of arty/crafty things, unique handmade products, a slime stall (that should be interesting), clothes, and face painting (always a big hit with the adults as much as the kids). There will also be a raffle giving you the chance to snatch some great prizes.
Betwixt all that eating, drinking and stall-perusing, however, there will be plenty of entertainment throughout the day to keep the party vibe going. This year will see a splendid fusion of performances, displays and dance, including an Elton John Tribute, Dreamscape, Riff Raff Choir, The MET Kids Performance, a Tai Chi display, Adivah Star and 344 Dance Studio. And fans of the hit TV series Gogglebox are in for a treat, as some of the city's stars from the series will be making a guest appearance.
