Bristol's Cheese Comedy Club welcomes Bec Hill & Stuart Goldsmith on Sunday 28th April

Quirky and intimate comedy venue The Cheese Comedy Club will present a double-act of first-class mirth-meisters in the form of Bec Hill and Stuart Goldsmith on Sunday 28th April 2019.

Bec Hill and Stuart Goldsmith at The Cheese Comedy Club.

Firmly establishing a reputation for showcasing some of the very best in the comedy talent currently on the giggling gigging circuit, The Cheese is situated in the basement of that famed Bristol drinking and heavy metal institution The Crown. Low arched ceilings and its small space (in a pub dating back to 1741, mind you) guarantee an intimate night of chuckle-making in a unique space.

On the bill this time is Bec Hill, fresh from a blitz of astonishing award-winning Edinburgh runs and familiar face on YouTube and Twitter. Her fans are of the more refreshingly nerdy variety and her sets scuttle effortlessly and vivaciously from the heartwarming to pun-tastic one-liners.

In fact, she created the UK's only pun-based comedy night, Pun Run. She even incorporates arts and crafts in to her act (or "paper puppetry", as she calls it). Appearances have been as a guest on Go 8 Bit and the voice of several characters in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Offbeat, silly, unconventional and an absolute hoot.

Stuart Goldsmith has long had the comedic accolades piled high upon him: "Truly a comedy masterclass... Endlessly inventive" The List; "Expert, charming stand-up" The Sunday Times; "A master of the form" The Independent. Goldsmith's TV appearances have included As Yet Untitled on Dave and Russell Howard's Comedy Stand Up Central. His unique show structure of an actual stand-up followed by some messing around means he's funny, fresh and unpredictable.

And don't tell anyone else we told you, but there's a special extra guest in the shape of performer Katie Pritchard, whose inventive, offbeat offerings of the operatic, interactive, nerdy, surreal and outrageous means this whirling dervish of comedy craziness is an act of which the likes you haven't seen (or most likely will see again) for a long time.

Doors swing open for comedy japes at 7pm, with seating at 7.45pm for an 8pm start. There will be two intervals, and the show is expected to end between 10pm and 10.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and can be snapped up here. The Cheese Comedy Club is located at The Crown, 10 All Saints Lane, Bristol BS1 1JH.
