Get involved in an Open Studios event at The Works in Bedminster this weekend

Bedminster-based creative space The Works will hold a stimulating Open Studios art-fest weekend on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April 2019.

Housed in office buildings, ex-commercial and industrial units of more than 30,000 sq ft, it's the city's mecca for more than 50 artists, two art galleries, a music studio and maker studios. With the spaces open to the public across two days, it's your chance to see what goes on behind the scenes and immerse yourself in a raft of arty workshops.

 

Getting involved will be Caraboo Projects, Kosar Contemporary, Red Dog Glass Design, Sally Coulden, The Artist Project Space and The Cutting Room. The aim of The Works is to offer artistic, flexible and affordable workplaces for the city's thriving creative community.

 

Free exhibitions and activities taking place over both days will include a family art workshop, a sewing taster workshop where you can make your own purse, a pattern cutter taster workshop, and a whole load more besides. It's guaranteed to be a two-day arty trip that will stimulate your senses and arouse your artistic ardour.
