Rainmaker Gallery in Bristol will present a special exhibition showcasing some of the most spectacular art work by a new generation of Native American artists from Thursday 21st March until Saturday 8th June 2019.

'Piikani Lodge Near Rockies' by Terran Last Gun 'THE YOUNG AMERICANS'

An incendiary mix of visual techniques, perspectives and experimentation, it will offer a fresh, unexpected look at Indian art and life, offering previously unimagined perspectives of how we usually perceive this kind of art to be.

On display will be a scintillating slew of printmaking, painting and photography curated from the works of 16 artists from 20 tribal nations, with many of them drawn from the Institute of American Indian Arts and using the groundwork of indigenous artists as the basis for their own pieces.

'Don't Kill Spiders', Screen print on Fabriano Rosaspina by Jordan Craig 'Young Americans'

With its embracing of traditional techniques coupled with a dynamic, unremitting forward-looking artistic view, The Young Americans is an exhibition which celebrates the vast, incredible scope of current Native American talent and the new, exciting work being created within the United States today.

Entry is free and Rainmaker Gallery is open 10am to 5.30pm Monday to Sunday. You can find out more about this and other upcoming exhibitions and events at Rainmaker Gallery here.
