Dimensions Festival and Red Bull Music present Get Down Early at The Love InnPosted on: 07 Nov 2018
Bristol's devotion to the freshest underground music in the country is not to be understated, and as such the city has been selected as one of three venues for the upcoming Dimensions Festival x Red Bull Music 'Get Down Early' series: a celebration of emerging British DJs on some of the country's best dance floors with a unique twist. The Love Inn is set to host the Bristol chapter, with renowned selector Marcellus Pittman set to open for local favourite Sam Hall in an intriguing role reversal on Friday 30th November.
In a series that echoes the erratic set times of huge parties around the world at venues like The Loft in New York, the Get Down Early series will look to focus on music and atmosphere rather than top-heavy lineups, treating all artists on the programmes equally. As a result, up-and-coming UK talents Kiara Scuro, Sam Hall of Bristol and Shy One will be given a rare headline platform.
As well as the Bristol party at The Love Inn with Hall and Detroit originator Marcellus Pittman, Dimensions & Red Bull Music will be bringing Get Down Early to London for an event at Corsica Studios with Kiara Scuro and Dutch producer Legowelt and La Cheetah in Glasgow for a huge night of genre-spanning selections courtesy of Shy One and Ninja Tune signee Martyn.
Those interested in the Bristol event can expect smooth, soulful selections from Marcellus Pittman, a celebrated DJ, pillar of the original Detroit scene and a member of the 3 Chairs trio alongside Moodymann and Rick Whilhite. He'll be warming up the crowd before Bristol local Sam Hall takes over for a carefully-crafted journey of Chicago and Detroit influences for the rest of the night. Check out Sam's recent Dimensions Festival DJ Directory mix here for a taster.
£5 advance tickets are available in very limited numbers for this one, with the rest available on the door on the night - act fast to book yours now or be prepared for a long wait in line!
Tickets for Get Down Early with Marcellus Pittman on Friday 30th November are on sale now and can be found here. For more information or to find out what else is coming up at The Love Inn during the remainder of 2018, check out their Facebook page.
