Alt Rock Takeover at The Fleece on Sunday 4th February 2018

Posted on: 03 Feb 2018

Ever the champion of the best up-and-coming bands currently touring the Bristol music circuit, The Fleece is presenting a very special night of homegrown talent with its Alt Rock Takeover on Sunday 4th February 2018.

Last year's event was a huge success and this Sunday six local alternative acts will turn their amps up to 11 as they each take to the stage with a cracking set of original music.

Included in the weekend's line-up of promising newcomers is Miss Kill, Boom! and the Tiny Explosion, Easter Island Statues, Mind Utopia, Hang 11 and Flashfires, all rocking out The Fleece to the strains of their particular brands of alternative rock.

With so much talent in the city that often goes unnoticed or unrecognised, those fabulous fellows at The Fleece are going some way to redress the balance by given top local talent a platform - or rather, stage - to make their mark and show off their musical chops.

Doors open at 7.30pm. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and tickets - which can be purchased directly from the bands - cost a pleasingly pocket-friendly fiver.

And if you're a local band looking for a bit of exposure and a stage on which to perform your tuneage, email gigs@thefleece.co.uk for a chance to take part in one of The Fleece's future Alt Rock Takeover nights.
