The 2017 Schedule for Mbargo Bristol

The 2017 Schedule for Mbargo Bristol

Posted on: 20 Jan 2017

Mbargo is the club for all seasons, offering a quality night of dancing every evening of the week. We take a day-by-day look at the music, theme and deals that you can expect from the Bristol institution.

There are three constants will always ring true in Bristol: Big Jeff will always be at the front of the gig you're at, rain will never be far away and Mbargo will always be open. The USP of the celebrated nightclub is quite simple; namely, that it never stops, operating as the Triangle's premier dance destination seven days a week.

Crucial to the maintenance to such stamina, however, is variety, with each day offering a completely individual clubbing experience, which we have listed below. Behold, a week in the life of the Mbargo regular:

Monday - Cheap Thrills

The prospect of another Monday is improved dramatically by the prospect of Cheap Thrills. The clue is in the name here really, with outstanding drinks deals offering £1.50 pints, shots and alcopops, from 8pm til 4am. Kickstart your week in thrilling style.

Tuesday - The Drop

Drop everything for Mbargo's Tuesday night extravaganza! The return of The Drop can only mean one thing: the return of the £1.50 bomb menu. That's right, any one of the wide-ranging Mbargo bomb menu will only set you back a pound and a half.

Wednesday - Xtra Time

After a tough afternoon of physical exercise there is only one place to go. UWE's official sports night offers discounted entry for sports teams, with the same calibre of drink deals and music that you can expect based on the rest of the week's programme.

Thursday - The Social

Mbargo is notorious for its Thursday night blowouts, at which the weekend gets a headstart on the hedonism. Sound-tracked by a carefully-selected blend of classics, house and dance hall, which will sound even better when combined with the tune of happy hour until 11.

Friday - The Rub

For guaranteed good times every week, get on down to The Rub where entry is free before 10pm. DJ Suisse is the resident selector, who presides over proceedings with his signature emulsion of '90s R'n'B, house and garage.

Saturday - Higher Ground

Saturday nights are important. We all know this. That's why Mbargo has served up one of the best in the city just for you. Higher Ground sees DJ Jambo playing to a packed house every weekend thanks to free entry before 10pm and (shock) great drinks deals. Make this your next Saturday night venue and you won't be disappointed.

Sunday - The Sunday Shift

The Soul Strutters are a collective of professional musicians from Bristol who love nothing more than performing specially handpicked songs from the golden era of funk, soul and disco. Playing every Sunday at Mbargo, these guys prove that the weekend doesn't end until Monday morning.
