The Smiths Is Dead - Live at The Lanes in Bristol
Posted on: 01 Dec 2016The Smiths is Dead, a leading UK Smiths tribute band, will be performing at The Lanes on Saturday 3rd December, followed by the excellent Department S clubnight. It remains the only place in Bristol where you can drink and dance in your bowling shoes.
The Smiths are dead. Long live The Smiths.
As purveyors of the most mournfully joyous music ever created, Morrissey, Marr, et al created a legacy that has spanned decades and generations. As relevant today as they were 30 years ago, this is your chance to experience (almost) the real thing. Bring your dancing AND your bowling shoes...gladioli optional. The Smiths Is Dead seek to recreate not just the music, but the whole performance of a true show played by The Smiths. They pull it off perfectly.
After their performance, John the Mod will be once again spinning all kinds of mod, Britpop, soul, funk, and indie anthems from the 60s through to the 90s, all the way through to 3am.
There's also the chance to win Jim Beam baseball jackets, t-shirts, free bowling and free entry to the night...all just by sharing the pic on their Facebook page. Simple.
Tickets for the gig AND the clubnight afterwards are just £6, and £3 with an NUS discount. The clubnight itself is still just a fiver! Tickets can be purchased from Bristol Ticket Shop by clicking here.
The Lanes is located at: 22 Nelson Street , Bristol , BS1 2LE
