About Africa is an evening with Harry Hook located in the Redgrave Theatre, Clifton College, Bristol, on 29th September from 7.30pm – 9.30pm, regarding the changing face of Africa through photography.

 

This, not to be missed, fascinating talk/lecture, which is all about the urbanization of Africa and how the rural people over Harry's lifetime have moved and migrated into cities, is sure to evoke emotions with anyone who has African roots or is interested in photography.

 

The exploits were captured on film by the BBC and make for an amazing documentary on how times have changed from when Harry was photographing people there many years ago. This serves as his main topic throughout the night.

 

Film director and photographer Harry Hook spent his childhood in Kenya and has been filming beautiful images of the African continent and its people for over forty years. Being published in many different forms of media including national newspapers and through TV, Harry has made quite a name for himself.
