Without the pressure of being a large national ‘chain’ they are able to provide the personal touch yet still boast a store larger than the majority of their competitors. The store itself has a children’s area, free tea & coffee, bathrooms with baby changing facilities and is fully wheelchair accessible. This ‘family feel’ is also evident in the friendly staff who are knowledgeable and able to advise on any number of subjects but, most importantly, are never pushy. They don’t work on commission so there is no hard sell!
The quality is undeniable and evident the moment you walk through the door; something you would expect from a business as well established as this. However, the prices are what keep customers coming back. You’ll find a ‘Price Promise’ at almost every furniture store but Park Furnishers back theirs up while others might not be so forthcoming. If a customer finds any items of furniture cheaper within their free delivery area (including extras like delivery, etc) they will match the lower price plus give them an extra 2½% discount. Speaking of delivery, that’s FREE within a 25 mile radius of the store.
With such a large selection of furnishings, and selling thousands of pieces a year, Park Furnishers understand that even the best manufacturers will very occasionally make mistakes. To deal with this they have a senior member of staff dedicated to ensuring these mistakes are rectified as soon as possible.
As a Bristol company, Park Furnishers understand the meaning of helping local people in a number of ways. In 2012 they celebrated their 45th Anniversary. As part of those celebrations, the store and staff raised £45,000 for St Peters Hospice. This is the largest amount of money that has ever been raised for the Hospice in a single year by one company. In 2015 they have kindly agreed to support the Impact Charity Rugby team helping raise £20,000 this year for Children's Hospice South West and The Jessie May Trust.
