Let's Rock Bristol festival on the 5th to the 7th June
Posted on: 12 May 2015The Ashton Court Estate in Bristol will once again be home to the incredible celebration of all things 80s that is Let’s Rock Bristol!
The enormous line up of nostalgia-inducing artists comes from the very heart of the ‘80s, bringing together music lovers for all ages. A fully fledged family festival, Let’s Rock Bristol has something for everyone – ranging from top musicians, children’s activities, food and drink stalls, and circus workshops. This is now the largest festival in the South West dedicated to the music of the ‘80s, and the party doesn’t stop for a moment.
This year’s line up will include performances from The Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, The Boomtown Rats, Billy Ocean, Rick Astley, Sister Sledge, Roland Gift, Jimmy Somerville, The South, Big Country, Howard Jones, ABC, From The Jam, Chas & Dave, Aswad, Betty Boo, Go West, Nick Heyward, Five Star, Hot Chocolate, China Crisis, Odyssey, The Real Thing, The Beat, Modern Romance, Black Box, Dr & The Medics, Brother Beyond, Owen Paul, Sam Fox, plus Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers will be keeping the music going between changeovers.
Let’s Rock Bristol also plays host to a super funfair, heralding in the summer season with water rides, popular BBC and ITV entertainers and a ‘Disco Shack’! There is also an array of licensed bars, and a wide range of world food stalls. Take part in the Megamix Karaoke, kick back on the grass with a drink, or engage in the hundreds of family activities lined up over the weekend.
Although it is not compulsory, ‘80s fancy dress is strongly encouraged! The festival will run from the 5th of June to the 7th, and is open to people of all ages. Children over the age of 13 need their own adult tickets.
