Jazz at Future Inns Bristol with The Duval Project

Nu Soul/Jazz project, The Duval Project, comes back to its hometown of Bristol for a show at Future Inns located next to Cabot Circus on Thursday 18 September 2014.

 

The Duval Project is a nu soul/jazz and funk excursion formed by Gary Alesbrook, a multi-instrumentalist who has had session work with artists such as Kasabian, Noel Gallagher, Lynden David Hall and Tom Jones. Gary has formed a quartet with the young duo of electric bassist Richie Blake and drummer Danny Cox. Gary plays trumpet, flugelhorn and keyboard and this time around, the band feature the vocals of Marie Lister. Marie will be adding her own style to the songs and they will be debuting original numbers from their upcoming EP. The Duval Project present fresh sounds tinged with retro appeal, covering songs by artists such as De La Soul, Chaka Khan, Michael McDonald and Dr Dre.

 

The Duval Project will be appearing in Bristol on 18th September at Jazz@ Future Inn, Bristol’s newest purpose built jazz, blues and acoustic music club within the Future Inn hotel in Cabot Circus. Tickets are £5 and can be brought by emailing sales.bristol@futureinns.co.uk.
