Robin Cousins Ice at The Bristol Hippodrome - The Skating Stage Experience

“ROBIN COUSINS’ ICE - The Skating Stage Experience” is now on a national tour and is appearing at The Bristol Hippodrome from the 30th April until 3rd May 2014.

In his new production, Olympic champion and head judge on ITV’s Dancing on Ice, Robin Cousins put together a group of world class skaters that will take you in an iced yet warm and dynamic experience unique in its genre. Featuring a powerful score of original music and rearranged modern classics, the show has everything you can desire for a delightful night out.

In Robin Cousin’s words: “The show is not an adaptation of a ballet, or borrowed from the world of musical theatre. It is a show where the choreography is driven by the music, where the movement has room to breathe, and the skaters can let their blades do the talking. To be able to move like a skater is every dancer’s dream. To be motionless, yet travelling at great speed. Skaters are able to soar across the frozen stage in ways a dancer can only dream of doing.”

Robin Cousins is a national hero, his innovative and personal style both on ice and stage is internationally recognized. He’s been working on ice for over 40 years taking part in World and Olympic Championships, choreographing and performing for film, television and theatre.

“ROBIN COUSINS’ ICE” is directed and choreographed by Robin Cousins with musical direction by Maurice Luttikhuis (he worked at the Dutch productions of “Les Misérables” and “Miss Saigon”, and the Dutch and French productions of “Disney’s The Lion King”), lighting by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Gareth Owen, and set and costume design by David Shields.
