Our rating:

It's very rare to find a venue with such a great atmosphere, couple that with a tasteful palette of affordable drinks and you're guaranteed an excellent night. The Bunker in Bristol, truly, a diamond in the rough.

Encore at Bunker in Bristol is the place to be on a Saturday night if you’re a student at UoB, UWE or just visiting friends in the city. As Bristol’s leading student driven nightclub Saturday night did not fail to disappoint. Bunker is situated on the Clifton Triangle a short walk away from the busy bars and restaurants of Park Street, which is a perfect place to go before starting a night out.

Upon arrival to bunker we stood in a short well-managed queue and then had to pay an entry price of £6, which is one of the cheapest entry prices for a Saturday night anywhere in Bristol. We then headed downstairs into the club where It has two dance floors floors each with its own DJ and a VIP section, which had its own bar. We were treated to our own table and the friendly staff provided us with a bottle of bubbly to get the night underway.

What's Good about The Bunker

After being seated at one of Bunkers finest VIP tables, the service quality that we experienced was of a high quality, as the members of staff were friendly, fast and courteous. Bunkers VIP area was great vicinity to ‘chill out’ in and socialise with friends after having a boogie on the large and exciting dance floors. It is also accustomed with a bar, which was beneficial for us to continuously top up our beverages. Bunker lived up to its reputation of having one of the best smoking areas of all clubs located in the Bristol region. There is a shisha bar as well as a number of benches for people to sit down and enjoy a cigarette.

Bunker offers a range of nights outs most days of the week with its most popular being 'Encore' on Saturday, offering student deals on drinks and entry fees. Bristol being a city with two large universities, is home to many students, the opinion on Bunker is it being largely a student night, a place with good atmosphere and a range of good music,. It also is comparatively cheap compared to local clubs located on the triangle on a weekend where prices are typically higher due to it being less of a student feel on the weekend. However 'Encore' felt like a good mix of students and non students and was very lively with a large queue (bypassed for us) to get in., also by being on the triangle it is close to a number of other pubs and bars that are very lively, and a short walking distance to town or Clifton village. All in all Bunker is thought very highly of as a club in Bristol, and is defiantly not overlooked by anyone planning a night out.

It's very rare to find a venue with such a great atmosphere, couple that with a tasteful palette of affordable drinks and you're guaranteed an excellent night. Truly, a diamond in the rough. If you haven't been, you really don't know what you're missing!
