The fact that you can essentially customise your membership is great as it means you are not paying for something that you don't use! In my opinion, other clubs just don't compare.

I have played at Bristol Lawn Tennis and Squash Club a few times in the past, and every time its been exceptional. Its easy to find and just a short journey to Redland from the City Centre as well as having lots of car parking space. We soon found out that the club is really welcoming and friendly to everyone - whatever your standard of tennis or squash. As I am a student its important that I get value for my money, as I don't have a lot of it! After doing a fair amount of research, I found that Bristol Lawn Tennis and Squash club offered the best facilities for the most competitive rates. Depending on what you are interested in, you can become just a tennis member or increase the membership to include the gym as well. The fact that you can essentially customise your membership is great as it means you are not paying for something that you don't use! In my opinion, other clubs just don't compare.

The Bristol Lawn Tennis and Squash Club has 12 immaculate outdoor tennis courts, 5 of which are floodlit as well as 6 squash courts, a gym, sauna and a bar. When we turned up a couple of my friends didn't have their rackets so it was great that we could rent equipment and costs for this service are pretty reasonable too. Not only are membership fees really decent (and discounted for students), but being able to book a court for a game as a non-member was great as most other clubs don't offer this.

After playing tennis we had a brief gym session and were all really impressed with the facilities. The gym was spacious and had plenty of equipment. Following our afternoons activities we headed to the bar; the drinks were really well priced and we all enjoyed relaxing in the club house overlooking the tennis courts. All the staff were really friendly, especially Eve and Henry the barman who we got chatting to. Due to how much we enjoyed our visit to the club, we all ended up becoming members. As I enjoy using the gym as well as playing Tennis and squash, I went for the full membership package - which still worked out cheaper than my University gym! Overall the whole experience was brilliant and I highly recommend checking the place out, even if its just for a few games of tennis in the sun.
