"LETS GET PISTE!" a ski-themed bingo extravaganza, and it certainly lived up to its reputation as a winter wonderland of icy thrills and festive fun. Held at the beloved local venue of Motion – which has recently been shadowed by rumours of an uncertain future due to the continued redevelopment of the area surrounding Temple Meads—the event served as a the perfect start to this year’s silly season.

Tables, each accommodating up to eight guests, buzzed with a lively mix of work Christmas parties, birthdays, and hen dos. Despite the bad weather outside, the lively atmosphere inside was infectious, proving that nothing could dampen the evening’s mood.

The night was brilliantly hosted by a DJ and two scantily clad helpers donning Borat style bikinis and mullets to match. The event made good use of the sound system with music that was a perfect blend of classic Christmas tunes and noughties bangers, culminating in punters jumping onto tables to dance—much to the bemusement of the vigilant bouncers who spent much of the night encouraging guests to "come down" and enjoy the festivities safely.

Entertainment was non-stop, featuring a festive rave round and on-stage battles, ensuring there was never a dull moment. Prizes were a highlight, including a humble mince pie, a and industrial size tub of Nutella, and life-size cut-out of Will Ferrell as Elf.
