Local running group covering distance to Ibiza and back for Caring in Bristol
Posted on: 24 Feb 2021Ravers2Runners are aiming to collectively cover 3,588km in March to support homeless people in Bristol.
Bristol-based group Ravers2Runners have set themselves a huge fundraising challenge for March, aiming to run the complete distance from the Westcountry to Ibiza, around the island and back again in support of Caring in Bristol.
The 17-strong team have each set their own individual distance targets, with a minimum of 40km, in the hope that they'll be able to collectively rack up 3,588km/2,230 miles by the end of the month.
Ravers2Runners have set up a JustGiving page for their challenge, aiming to raise a total of £3,000 to help support a growing number of people affected by homelessness in Bristol. Find out more and donate here.
?????? This March, Ravers2Runners are raising money for Caring in Bristol by running 3588km or 2230 miles – the equivalent of Bristol to Ibiza, around the island and back - in a glorious feat of athleticism, altruism, and 'avin it.

Outlining the motivation for the 'fund-raving' on their JustGiving page, the team say they've seen first-hand how severe the homelessness situation has become in Bristol during their regular training sessions and runs through the city.
"As we slowly step out of this pandemic, with so many lives turned upside down, we can only imagine what the situation on the streets will be," they explain.
"We wanted to give something back to the city and community we love so much all whilst keeping people moving and motivated through the means of running.
"By raising some money for a fantastic charity like Caring in Bristol we can help to make changes for those individuals less fortunate than ourselves."
Set up in early 2020, Ravers2Runners have managed to expand into a growing group of dedicated runners despite the limitations of consecutive UK lockdowns.
You can follow news and updates on their Facebook page as they embark on a huge Bristol-to-Ibiza-and-back-again charity run throughout March.
