Lakota extend outdoor events programme to early August
Posted on: 08 Jul 2020Enjoy more DJ sets, live comedy and sport at Lakota Gardens this month.
The Lakota team have extended their Lakota Gardens programme, following a successful launch over the weekend that saw the club host Carnival sets on Saturday for socially-distanced attendees.
With the programme currently running until Sunday 2 August, tickets are on sale now for a wide range of events throughout July, from this week's return of Shotgun Sessions to a UK Garage Special, Wide Eyes takeover and more.
What an incredible start to the Gardens! Thanks to everyone who made it down and respected the rules, you were a delight to look after.

Bristol drum & bass heads should be all over the long-awaited return of Shotgun Sessions, as the residents take over Lakota Gardens tonight (Tuesday 8 July) for a two-hour b2b set from 20:30-22:30.
From there, expect everything from UK Garage to disco, funk & soul, liquid drum & bass and more across a range of events guaranteed to help you get over those lockdown blues.
As well as DJ sets you can expect a Tiger King-themed Club Quiz (remember Tiger King?) on Thursday 9 July, a Pizza & Prosecco night on Saturday 11 July with the Bianchi's team at the helm, and live comedy every Tuesday courtesy of Laughing Gas.
Despite confirmation back in April that Lakota is set to close in the near future, with flats and an office space to be built in its place, the club have spent the majority of 2020 celebrating Bristol's renowned underground music scene as best they can given the current circumstances.
During the lockdown, the social media team have been working hard to shine a light on emerging local DJs and artists, with several featuring in a marathon 28-hour charity live stream to mark the club's 28th birthday in June.
