Posted on: 06 Oct 2020Take in some live music at the popular pop-up dining complex.
Tickets are moving quickly for a live jazz performance at Breaking Bread this week, with acclaimed local outfit Silk Route Sounds ready to take the stage on The Downs on Thursday 8 October.
Following a successful launch last week, Breaking Bread are welcoming the return of live music to their pop-up tipi village, having set up a performance space inside The Pipe & Lovers bar area.
Advance booking for the 19:30 performance is highly advised - find out more and book your table here.
Made up of Knud Stuwe on the Oud (a Middle-Eastern lute-style string instrument), acclaimed trumpeter Celeste Cantor-Stephens, Daphna Sadeh on the double bass and percussionist Myke Vince, Silk Route Sounds is a modern take on traditional Middle-Eastern music.
Inspired by Bristol's flourishing, globally-influenced jazz scene, the group have emerged in 2020 as a driving force on the city's live circuit, putting a contemporary spin on age-old sounds and techniques.
Through a vibrant mix of instrumentation and vocals, Silk Route Sounds create moments of real musical magic on stage, and should provide the perfect escape from grey Autumnal conditions this Thursday evening.
Accompanying this week's performance will be Breaking Bread's all-new Autumn menu, guaranteed to keep you toasty underneath the cosy pop-up canopies.
