Tremor presents Father Funk's Church of Love: Bad Friday at The Lanes
Tremor presents Father Funk's Church of Love: Bad Friday at The Lanes from Friday 30th March - Saturday 31st March 2018
Sadly Hugh Hefner and the Playboy bunnies can’t make it, so you’ll have to do with the next best thing - Father Funk and Rose Rokoko’s Sleazy Sisters! Fresh off the back of it’s second birthday celebrations, the Church of Love is quickly becoming one of the best nights in Bristol. This is your last chance to experience this amazing night before festival season begins - don’t miss out!
We'll be dishing out FREE bunny ears and FREE buckfast all night long whilst stocks last so get down early to make sure you get yourself some!!

AKOV soundcloud.com/akovmusic
A hot contender for playmate of the year (until he made Hugh Hefner soil himself with one of his new bangers), AKOV is at the forefront of the new generation of Neurofunk talent. Releasing on labels such as Neurofunkgrid, Eatbrain and Mindtech, and with support from the likes of Noisia and BBC Radio 1, AKOV is sure to smash the granny out of “Bad Friday”! It’s been a while since we’ve had him in Bristol so let’s show him some love!
Father Funk soundcloud.com/father-funk
Church of Love head honcho and heir to the Playboy mansion, Father Funk has established himself as one of the key players in the worldwide Ghetto Funk, Breaks and Glitch scene. His bass driven funk tracks and high energy, eclectic DJ sets have landed him sets at the likes of Glastonbury Festival, Shambhala Music Festival, Rainbow Serpent and clubs across the globe. His Church of Love sets are always extra special, and his set at “Bad Friday” is sure to be another one for the history books.

These cheeky bunnies have been a part of the congregation since our third event “The Holey Cummunion”. Their sets are super fun and funky and it’s always a pleasure to have them down! Expect a bodacious mixture of house and disco - with enough funk to give Hugh Hefner a hard on!
Buckfast Boys Club soundcloud.com/buckfastboys
Big players in the Bristol music scene, and long time golf buddies of Hugh Hefner himself, Buckfast Boys Club are to make their first Church of Love appearance at “Bad Friday” this month, closing the night in style with a heavy blend of Garage, Bassline and Drum & Bass.
Waggles soundcloud.com/waggles
Only recently returning to Bristol after a brief hiatus working in a hair salon in California, Waggles is another DJ who has been with us since the early days of the Church of Love, bringing to the table a colourful mix of tropical bass music, funk and breaks - sure to get the party going on “Bad Friday”!
Bear Twists (Theme Tune Set) soundcloud.com/bear-twists
Normally we start the Church of Love with a disco set, but after hearing Bear Twists epic film & TV theme set at X-Ray Ted’s 30th we had to break the tradition and bring it to the Church of Love!
Emcee Ellis D & Y DOTT!
Hosting “Bad Friday” will be MC’s Ellis D and Y-Dott, the bunnies with the baddest bars in the mansion!
Rose Rokokos Sleazy Sisters
I could try and compare the Sleazy Sisters to the Playboy Bunnies, but in reality these raunchy rabbits would give them a run for their money! Why not confess your sins to these naughty nuns in the confession booth?
More to be announced.
'Our Father,
Who lays down funk,
Wobbly is thy bass,
Thy set time will come,
Bangers will be spun,
In the fields, clubs, and in Heaven.
Give us this night a funky break,
And forgive us our jives,
As we forgive those who jive against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
And deliver us from EDM,
For yours is the rhythm, the wobble and the funk,
Forever and ever…
Amen Breaks'
