The group have released their catchy new summer anthem "Defibrillator" ahead of the upcoming album which you can listen to HERE. The teaser has led to The Snuts' loyal fans flocking to pre order the well aniticipated 4th album, which you can do HERE.
‘Defibrillator’ is an uplifting, drum-driven track destined to soundtrack the summer. Inspired by the idea of a living wake — celebrating your life with the people you love while you’re still there to share it — the song explores the importance of showing up for those around you, setting aside ego, and embracing the joy found in togetherness. Produced by Cochrane and Scotty Anderson, it serves as the lead single from an album shaped by two years of songwriting, growth, and lived experience.
Speaking on the new single, Jack Cochrane says:
“I wanted to write a track that detailed a conscious decision to live and love more. To take life less seriously and dilute ego as often as possible. ‘Defibrillator’ is a song that celebrates the collective and trivialises the sludgy worries of being alive.”
Joy In Short Moments captures a band taking stock and embracing a quieter perspective. While previous records were born from relentless touring and constant momentum, this album emerged from a period of reflection. After returning home, becoming a father, and reconnecting with everyday life, Jack Cochrane found himself confronting the questions that years on the road had left unanswered. The result is The Snuts’ most introspective and grounded album to date — and arguably their most honest.
Speaking about the record, Cochrane says:
“After three albums of constant movement, I felt drawn back to real life. Success, failure, parenthood and loss all found their way into these songs. Joy In Short Moments is about reconnecting with what truly matters and finding meaning in the everyday. It’s an album shaped by the questions: Who am I? Where should I be? Where am I going? And what makes it all worthwhile?”

The Snuts have emerged as one of the UK’s standout success stories of recent years. Their debut album W.L. debuted at Number 1 in 2021, before Burn The Empire secured a Top 3 position the following year. Their third album, Millennials — released independently and self-produced by the band — reached Number 2 on the UK Albums Chart, making The Snuts the first act since One Direction to score three consecutive Top 3 albums in as many years. Alongside their chart success, the band have sold out headline tours across Japan, Australia, Europe and North America, and recently marked a major milestone by headlining their first Scottish arena show at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.
