The goth rock giants are heading back on the road

The Sisters of Mercy are a rock band formed in Leeds, England in 1980. The band was founded by singer-songwriter Andrew Eldritch and guitarist Gary Marx.

The original lineup of the band included Eldritch on vocals, Marx on guitar, Ben Gunn on guitar, Craig Adams on bass, and Dr. Avalanche (a drum machine) on drums. This lineup released the band's first single, "The Damage Done," in 1980.

Over the years, the band's lineup changed frequently, with Eldritch being the only constant member. The band's sound also evolved over time, incorporating elements of gothic rock, post-punk, and electronic music.
