The Orchestra Pitts at Colston Hall in Bristol on Sunday 28th January 2018

 

In the ninth year of this massive event, David Pitts leads an orchestra of nearly 250 amateur players join once again with a chorus of 280 singers for one day only. The ensemble rehearse during the day (9.30 start) and then put on a free concert at 4pm. Donations are encouraged, and past concerts have raised over £10,000 for charity.

The music is very mixed: in the past it has included Dvorak New World, Meistersingers Overture, Liberty Bell, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hallelujah Chorus, Mozart Requiem, Zadok the Priest, and more classical and popular favourites.

If you would like to come to the Concert make a note of the date and just turn up. No ticket, no entry fee – but be prepared to give a donation to charity.
