Influential British alt rock band Swervedriver will bring their forthcoming UK tour to Bristol this autumn, performing at The Fleece on Tuesday 27th October 2026. Tickets are £30.80 including booking fees.

The Bristol show forms part of a run of headline dates celebrating the 35th anniversary of the band’s acclaimed debut album, Raise. Originally released in 1991, the record helped establish Swervedriver as one of the most distinctive groups to emerge from the British shoegaze scene.
Combining layers of distorted guitars with the energy of American alternative rock, punk and grunge, Raise offered a harder and more propulsive take on the sound associated with many of the band’s contemporaries.
The album includes enduring Swervedriver favourites such as Rave Down, Son of Mustang Ford, Sandblasted and Sci-Flyer. These songs are expected to feature prominently when the band takes to the stage at The Fleece.
The intimate Bristol venue should provide an ideal setting for Swervedriver’s powerful live sound, giving fans an opportunity to experience one of the defining British alternative albums of the early 1990s at close quarters.
The tour coincides with the release of an expanded double-vinyl 35th anniversary edition of Raise, which is due to arrive on 2 October.
The original album has been remastered, bringing new clarity to its combination of driving rhythms, heavy guitars and atmospheric melodies. The anniversary edition will also include a second record containing bonus material from different stages of the album’s history.
Among the additional tracks are two songs from a limited seven-inch single originally packaged with the vinyl edition of Raise, alongside material previously featured on the album’s 2008 reissue.
The tracks Surf Twang and Deep Twang have been digitised and remixed by Swervedriver vocalist and guitarist Adam Franklin. New sleeve notes for the anniversary package have been compiled by the band’s original bassist, Adi Vines.
The double-vinyl edition will be available in Neon Swirl and Blue Skies pressings.
Speaking about returning to the material, Franklin said performing the songs from Raise still gives the band a powerful sense of support and momentum.
“When we walk out on stage to perform the songs from Raise, it feels like the songs have our back,” he said. “It’s like four men with nine henchmen, with Sci-Flyer as the leader of the gang.”
Following the release of Raise, Swervedriver continued to earn critical acclaim with the albums Mezcal Head, Ejector Seat Reservation and 99th Dream. The band also toured with major names including Soundgarden and The Smashing Pumpkins.
After their original run came to an end in 1998, Swervedriver reunited for an appearance at Coachella in 2008. They later released I Wasn’t Born to Lose You in 2015 and Future Ruins in 2019. The band returned with the World’s Fair EP in 2025 before playing their first live shows in six years as part of a North American tour.
Swervedriver remain fronted by founder members Adam Franklin and guitarist Jimmy Hartridge. The current line-up is completed by Supergrass bassist Mick Quinn and drummer Mikey Jones.
Demand for the anniversary tour has already resulted in sold-out shows in London and Leeds, adding further anticipation ahead of the band’s arrival in Bristol.
