Mellt are a four piece band originally from Aberystwyth, but now based in Cardiff. Their debut album 'Mae'n Hawdd Pan Ti'n Ifanc' (It's Easy When You're Young) won the coveted Welsh Language Album of the Year in 2018, and was nominated for the Welsh Music Prize the same year. It received rave reviews - "All the tracks feel so self-contained, so tastefully cut off, and in a world of long, static space-pop interludes, Mellt’s snappy college-boy snarls takes indie rock back to its roots."

Mellt will be releasing their second album ‘Dim Dwywaith’ set for release on the 27th of October on Clwb Music. “A fabulous record, drawing together college-rock stylings with crisp hooks and ringing guitar leads, suggesting the idea of Big Star’s Alex Chilton and Chris Bell sitting in with Archers of Loaf.” - NME on Dim Dwywaith

With numerous live shows under their belt, this energetic four piece manages to captivate an audience wherever they go, firmly making their mark in Wales’ vast music landscape. With chant-like vocals, shrieking guitar and punching drumbeats, Mellt are crowd anarchists. Citing influences from The Clash, The Band and The Replacements, with their catchy guitar riffs and a perfect blend of slacker rock and post punk sounds — Mellt’s clever and intricate lyrics take them to the next level.

Forming in early 2021, The New Cut are a Bristol / Brighton based alternative-rock 4-piece that deliver a rousing melancholia with a side of wry lyric. Since their pandemically. curtailed inception, The New Cut have tabled a run of acclaimed releases to set out their stall; the louche and infectious 'The Family Business', quirk-pop bop of 'Stephen Gerrard Is My Dad' and bittersweet ache of 'Reclamation' revealing a band echoing the puckishness of Parquet Courts and the sweet solemnity of The Monchrome Set in equal measure.

Each release has been heralded with a sell out joyous and communal launch show, a blast of fervent colour in these tintless times, marking The New Cut out as one of the most exciting prospects of the year.

The New Cut are: Henry, Flick, Rachel & Morgan

Half Happy first glided into the Cardiff Music scene in 2022 with ‘Lovesweep’, a self-confessed love song for those who’d never thought they’d write one. Shortly followed by ‘Steal Me Away’ which shows off their happy, sweet edged sword songwriting, where you can either choose to laugh or cry. They immediately got the attention of BBC Introducing Adam Walton but after the release of their “song about a party not a party song” ‘Runaway Girl’, they bagged themselves Huw Stephen’s Artist of the Week and secured themselves a spot on Spotify’s ‘Hot New Bands’ Hall of Fame
